Police recovered the body of a child from a luggage in Kotbari area under Dakshin Khan Police Station in the capital on Thursday.
Dakshin Khan Police Station OC Topon Chandra Saha said that police signalled a rickshaw when it was crossing a police post with a luggage.Police recovered the body of the child, aged about six to seven years, inside the bag.
Police also detained a man who was carrying the luggage.
They suspect that the child might have been killed and later, it was being taken to disappear.
The body bore some marks of injuries.
