A court in Chittagong convicted one Md. Salimullah(22) with life term imprisonment as alleged for raping of 10 years old child and penalty of Tk.50 thousand in same verdict .
Judge of Women & Child Repression Tribunal Md. Rezaul Karim announced this verdict yesterday morning.
The convict is the some of one Badiul Alam of Banskhali upazila and the convict now absconding and the verdict announced in absentia. Court sources said convict forcibly raped the minor child on April 24, 2010 in Chambal jungle of Chambal village under Banskahli Upazila .
Mother of the victim filed a rape case accusing Salimullah before the concerned police station on April 29, 2010. After taking depositions of 7 witnesses, the tribunal judge declared this judgement, Publice Prosecutor Advocate Jesmin Akhter confirmed the matter to this correspondent.
