A child died in an autovan in Tarash in Sirajganj. The incident took place at Bastul village in Baruhas union of the upazila. On Tuesday afternoon, June 1, Samia Khatun (2), the youngest daughter of Alep Ali of the village, went on a paved road to play and collided with an autovan. Neighbors came and picked him up and started pouring water on his head. Later, the girl was given first aid by a village doctor in Bastul Bazar.
When the girl’s condition deteriorated, she was brought to Tarash Sadar Hospital. If his condition did not improve here too, he was referd to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. On the way, Samia Khatun died at a place called Shuknagari in Sherpur. The girl was buried at Bastul Central Cemetery around 10 pm as her family had no objection. Note that Alep Ali has 3 sons and 3 daughters. Lecturer Moinul Islam, president of Baruhas Union Awami League, confirmed the death and said that Samia Khatun’s body was buried socially as there was no objection from her family.
