A tragic incident of killing was unearthed in the port city on Friday.
Police sources said, a body of minor girl packed in gunny sack was recovered from a pond of Narikaltala area under EPZ thana in city on Friday .
The victim was identified as Tania Aktar(8) , a student of class one of a primary school of the area.
Tania hailed from Netrokona district and resided in Patenga area with his maternal uncle. Police sources said, Tania was missing from Thursday evening while she went to a nearby shop to bring some essential commodities but did not turned in home. Police suspecting that some miscreants kidnapped her and raped inhumanly to death.
Later, the body of the minor Tania was thrown out in a pond packed in gunny sack .
After sensing the tracing of the body floating in the pond, the locals informed the police .
In connection of the inhuman torture to this minor child, 2 suspected persons were rounded up instantly by police. The detained identified as Md. Solaiman and Abdur Rahman, sources said.
