A child was killed after falling from a rack and another was injured at Dighri village inJhikargachha upazila of Jashore district on Friday night.
The deceased child was identified as Abu Huraiya Mahim 4 son of Alamgir Kabir and injured Fahima Khatun 3 daughter of Tuhin Kabir of the upazila.
The deceased father Alamgir Kabir said that , The children were playing in the house at 7.30 pm at one stage when they climbed up on the rack of a shop suddenly Mahim and Fahima were pressed down. They were cousin .
Mahim was seriously injured in the pressed. Family members rescued them and sent to a local rural doctor where’s the doctor declared him dead. Another injured child, Fahima, has been given first aid.
