Child killed, 4 hurt in Ashulia wall collapse

A minor child was killed and four others seriously injured after a portion of a wall collapsed on them flowing a gas explosion at their one-story house in Ashulia area, on the outskirts of Dhaka on Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as Tahshin, son of one Nazmul Hassan, an inhabitant of Magura district.
The injured people were rescued by locals and fire service.
The injured are identified as Mousomi, and her minor daughter Mim,7, Abul Kalam and Dipu.
According to locals, gas pipeline, linked to Akbar Hossain’s one-story building, has been leaked for over the last three days. It exploded while cooking on Wednesday morning, resulting in the deaths of Tahsin and four others.
Mehedi Hasan, Sub-Inspector of Ashulia Police Station confirmed the news to the media that Bomb disposal unit was reported to show cause of building collapse. Investigation will reveal details.
The injured were first taken to Women and Child Healthcare Center. Later, they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment, SI added.
