The dead body of a child, who had been hacked to death, was found at a field in Pabna. Ovee, a seventh grader at Ataikula High School, was found dead on a field at Sholabarhia village, along the Dhaka-Pabna Highway at 8am Friday.
The 13-year-old lived with his family at Sholabarhia village of Sathia Upazila, said Ataikula Police Station OC Abdur Razzak.
Ovee went to sleep in his room after eating dinner with his family on Thursday night.
His parents, after finding out about his death, said they were clueless about what happened to their son.
“If I just knew… we would have slept in the same room. Who would do this to me?,” said his father Imran Hossain Babu. Locals called the police after seeing the dead body on the field. Police recovered the body and sent to Pabna Sadar Hospital for autopsy. “We are investigating to find out if there was any rivalry. We will find out who killed him and why.
