One child has died and another is missing after taking a bath in the Chengi River in Khagrachhari. The incident took place at noon on Friday on the banks of the Chengi River in Uttar Ganjpara.
Police said, on Friday at 12 noon in North Ganjpara. Didar Hossain’s son said.
Selim (10) and Ujjal Hossain’s son. Rifat (9) went to bathe in the river Chengi. At that time, two people fell into the river and drowned.
Locals immediately rescued Selim and took him to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Another child, Rifat, is still missing. Locals are searching the river to rescue him.
