A three- year old baby was burnt alive in a paddy boiling pot at village of bordering Moheshpur on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mustakim, son of Ali Hossain in Bathangachhi village of the upazila.
Locals said, Mustakim was playing near a paddy boiling unit in the house at about 5.00 PM. Suddenly he fell down in the boiling pot and sustained serious burn injuries.
He was rushed to Moheshpur upazila health complex in a critical state, where the attending physicians declared him dead.
