Chiefs of three services called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Saturday on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day.
Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral M Farid Habib and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Abu Esrar called on President Abdul Hamid, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces at 11:30 am.
During the meeting, the President discussed with the three chiefs various issues related to the armed forces, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
Abdul Hamid greeted every member of the armed forces on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day.
He remembered with gratitude the role of the armed forces during the country’s Liberation War and hoped that the armed forces would devote themselves for the needs of the country at anytime. Secretaries concerned of the President were present.
