A chicken trader was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Paba upazila on Sunday night.
The deceased, Amir Ali,25, son of Rahat Ullah, a resident of Kadipur village of the upazila, was a chicken trader.
Matiar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Paba Police Station, said a gang of miscreants waylaid a bicycle Amir was riding at Shitlai Baish Bigha area at about 11:00pm while he was returning home.
Later, the gang stabbed Amir indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him dead on the spot.
Informed, police recovered the body on Monday morning and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
