BSS, Dhaka : GM Enamul Hossain and GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib in men’s section and WIM Shamima Akter Liza in women’s section won their 1st round games in the in the Individual chess events for Men and Women of the 5th Asian Indoor And Martial Games that began from Thursday at Ashgabat in Turkmenistan. In the first round games held onThursday, GM Razib beat Ahmed Ashraf of Maldives and GM Rakib beat Saif Malek of Jordan in men section. WIM Liza beat Shahudha Mohammed of Maldives and WIM Sharmin Sultana Shirin lost to WGM Hoang Thi Bao Tram of Vietnam in women’s section. A total of 44 players from 23 Asian countries including 17 grandmasters and 10 International Masters are participating in men section and 39 players from 21 Asian countries including 3 grandmasters, 6 International Masters, 6 women grandmasters and 4 women International Masters are participating in women’s section.
