The Ministry of Education, Bijoynagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria organized a cheque distribution function among educational institutions, teachers and students.
Upazila Chairman Nasima Mukai Ali was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) KM Yasir Arafat and Assistant Secondary Education Officer Al Mamun at the Upazila Parishad auditorium at 10:30 am on Wednesday (September 23).
Upazila Vice-Chairman Mahmudur Rahman Manna and Women Vice-Chairman Savitri Rani were present as special guests.
Three educational institutions were given a cheque of Tk. 25000/- only There are Islampur Darul Quran Amena Begum Madrasa, Kena Alim Madrasa, Birpasha Sunnia Hafizia Madrasa. Besides, a cheque of Tk. 10,000 / – was given to 4 teachers and 16 students each. A total of 23 cheque were distributed.
Among others, present were Secondary Education Officer Milon Krishna Haldar, Youth Development Officer Md. Delwar Hossain, Social Service Officer Afroza Begum, officials of various departments of Upazila Administration, representatives of various educational institutions, trainees and other persons who came to receive cheques.
