The Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council has distributed grant cheques among the helpless and poor students of Rangpur, the sick and the victims of natural calamities at Rangpur Deputy Commissioner’s Office Conference Room on Wednesday. Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan was present as the chief guest at the check distribution function. Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa was present as the guest of honor. President of Rangpur Press Club Mahbub Rahman, Panel Mayor of City Corporation Mahmudur Rahman Titu, Deputy Director of Social Services Department Abdul Matin and senior officials of various government departments were present. A total of two lakh 25 thousand rupees was distributed to 45 people at the rate of 5 thousand rupees.
