Chehlum of Fazal Bin Kabir Shashi was held at Kotbaria in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali district on Friday.
Kabir died of brain hemorrhage in his village home on September 10 at the age of 43. He was laid to rest beside the grave of his grandfather.
The chehlum was held in a two-day programme there. Waj mahfil, doa and prayers were arranged on the first day followed by kangali bhoj on the second day.
Islamic scholar Alhaj Maulana Obayed Ullah addressed the waj mahfil, while Pir Maulana Tanvir Ahmed Siddique conducted the munajat.
Relatives and well-wishers of the deceased attended the two- day programmes. Chharakar Abu Saleh, senior journalist Rita Rahman and Begumganj upazila Chairman Advocate Abdur Rahim were also present.
