Popular television director Chayanika Chowdhury tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
SM Kamruzzaman Sagor, General Secretary of Directors’ Guild, an organisation of the television drama directors, said she caught the virus on Monday. In a Facebook post, Sagor said, “Drama and film director Chayanika Chowdhury is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital after being infected with coronavirus. All pray for Didi (elder sister).”
Later, contacted with Chayanika, she confirmed about her infection and said she is now well but has cold.
“For the time being, I am well. I have no fever, cough, headache or breathing problem but cold. Tomorrow I will undergo chest scan. You all keep me in your prayers,” Chayanika said.
