Chattogram zilla Parisad give a warm reception to 55 heroic freedom fighters on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence. The reception was held in the Institution of Engineers in the city.
Heroic freedom fighter and former minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain was the chief guest on the occasion. Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury was the special guest.
Chittagong Zilla Parishad Chairman MA Salam presided over the meeting and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (Deputy Secretary) Shabbir Iqbal gave a welcome Speech.
MP Nazrul Islam, former Constituent Assembly member Mirza Abu Mansur, wartime BLF commander Heroic Freedom fighter Professor Mohammed Moinuddin Spoke at the meeting.
The meeting was conducted by Rabiul Hasan, Secretary of Zilla Parisad. War wounded heroic freedom fighter Enamul Haque Chowdhury and heroic freedom fighter Md. Yunus also spoke on the occassion.
