A Chattogram court has jailed six people for life for killing a man in the district’s Rangunia Upazila 14 years ago. Second Additional District and Sessions Judge Nure Alam announced the verdict eyesterday .
The convicts are -Bachchu Mian, Rahim Ullah, Ismail Hossain, Arif Hossain Sobuj, Monirul Islam and Abu Toiyab. Among them, the first three convicts were present in court to hear the verdict while three others were tried as fugitives.
In 2004, Bacha Mian, a shopkeeper in Upazila’s Sarafbhata area, was stabbed to death after a fight over video rental, according to an investigation report.
