Problems seem to not end in the 2nd Test for Zimbabwe as their main bowler Tendai Chatara cannot take any further part in the Test match after he had a muscle strain in the first innings.
In the second day at morning session, Chatara had to be stretchered off the field with a leg injury. It was soon revealed that he had a grade two quad muscle strain, ruling him out of the remainder of the fixture.
Chatara pulled up during his delivery stride and clutched at his left thigh while seemingly wincing in pain. He then had to leave the field in a stretcher.
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) confirmed via twitter that Chatara has suffered a suspected Grade 2 quad muscle strain and is now out of the match.
Chatara bowled 22.2 overs in the first innings and he managed to take only 1 wicket. However, it was the big wicket of centurion Mominul Haque. While he took 3 wickets in the first Test match and played an important role in Zimbabwe’s historical win.
