Chittagong Bureau :
Anti- corruption Commission (ACC) Chittagong chapter is going to submit charge sheets against 8 persons including 7 officials of Chittagong Port Authority against the misappropriation of govt revenue of Tk.34 lakh.
Headquarters office of ACC in Dhaka approved the charge sheets so prepared by zonal office Chittagong on Monday which will be submitted to court in Chittagong immediately. ACC public relaltions officer Pranab Kumar Bhattachariya confirmed the news of the charge sheets against port officials.
The accused in the charge sheets are -Sr. former assistant (presently posted at ICT Kamalapur) Shamal Krishna, Sr. Assistant of No.unit( presently Asst. Traffic inspector) Pradip Kumar, Sr. Asstt. Of TM office of CPA Adhir Kanti, former port traffic inspector Saleh Jahur, former ASI o Port Md. Miaznur Rahman, Habildar of CPA Md. Sagir Ahmed, Security of Transit yard Md. Monir Ahmed and the Jetti Sarker of ABCO Enterprise Barum Kanti Sen.
ACC Deputy Asstt. Director Khondakr Akheruzzaman told that ABCO enterprise evaded govt revenue of Tk.34.62 lakh with the connivance of the port officials against his import consignment .
