The Detective Branch has finalised the charge-sheet against Oishee Rahman, the prime suspect in the murder of Special Branch Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Shapna Begum.
Oishee, the slain couple’s
only daughter, is suspected to have killed her parents. The charge-sheet would be filed to the court within this week, DB Inspector of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Abu Al Khair Matubbar told bdnews24.com on Sunday.

Police recovered their bodies two days after the crime.
Schoolgirl Oishee, 19, with housemaid Shumi, surrendered at the Paltan police station on Aug 16. Later, Oishee gave a statement during interrogation saying she had killed her parents with the help of housemaid Shumi.
Investigators also found the involvement of her two friends, Roni and Joni, in the murder. They were later arrested. They are now in jail, while Oishee and Shumi are being held in the Kashmipur Women’s Jail.
After Oishee’s interrogation on remand had triggered a barrage of criticism, police conducted several tests at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital to ascertain her age.
“We’ve been confirmed that Oishee’s age was over 18 years when the murders were committed,” the DB official said.
“Sumi was involved in the killings. But the police had said that she helped Oishee in the killing,” he added.
Khair said that the DNA of Mahfuzur and his wife matched the samples taken from Oishee’s bloodstained clothes and ornaments.
