The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a charge-sheet against four people, including a former Jatiya Party MP and his wife, for their alleged involvement in irregularities during the land acquisition of Hatirjheel-Begunbari project.
The Commission at its regular meeting on Monday approved the charge-sheet, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
The charge-sheet will be submitted before court against former Jatiya Party
MP Abul Quasem and his wife Sufia Quasem, additional secretary of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Gyanendra Nath Sarkar and additional secretary of Election Commission Mukhlesur Rahman.
Earlier, on December 26 in 2013, then ACC deputy director and inquiry officer Jatan Kumar Roy filed a case with Kotwali Police Station in the capital in this regard.
