The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka yesterday fixed July 31 for hearing on charge framing in nine different cases against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and others.
Judge Mohammad Kamrul Hossain Mollah of the court fixed the date after hearing on a petition filed by Khaleda Zia’s lawyer.
Of the nine cases, seven were filed with Darus Salam Police Station and
two with Jatrabari Police Station of the city on charge of sabotage activities.
Khaleda Zia’s counsel Md Sanaullah Miah sought adjournment of the hearing saying that Khaleda Zia could not appear in the court as she had to appear in another court in connection with Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage graft cases.
