The hearing of charge framing against the convicted BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury again deferred date for third time yesterday by a Chittagong court. The next hearing for charge framing fixed on November 10 next, court sources said.
Convicted war criminal BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury has been produced before a Chittagong court for the charge-framing arguments yesterdat in two vehicle-torching cases.
On August 3, acting Session’s Judge M Jaglul Hossain deferred till September 3 the hearing on charge framing against him in the case.
Earlier on Thursday, Salauddin Quader Chowdhury was taken to Chittagong jail from Kashimpur jail in Gazipur.
As per the case statement, two vehicles were vandalized and set on fire in separate incidents in Bashbaria and Salimpur areas in Sitakunda upazila of the district on November 7, 2010.
Later, police arrested three people from Bashbaria and another one from Salimpur.
The arrestees confessed before the court that they torched the vehicles as per the order of Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
On October 1, 2013, Salauddin Quader Chowdhury was sentenced to death for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
