UNB, Dhaka :
A tribunal here on Thursday deferred until February 15 the charge-framing against seven people, including the wife, a son and a counsel of executed war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, in a case filed in connection with the leakage of the draft verdict on the BNP leader.
Judge KM Shamsul Alam of the Cyber Crime Tribunal of Dhaka fixed the date following a petition filed by Feroz Alam, a lawyer of Salauddin Chowdhury’s wife Farhat Quader Chowdhury. Salauddin Chowdhury’s son Humman Quader Chowdhury and lawyer
AKM Fakhrul Islam were present during the hearing.
Talking to reporters, Feroz Alam said they sought the time as Farhat Quader Chowdhury went to Singapore for treatment.
On August 28, 2014, Inspector of Detective Branch M Shajahan submitted a charge sheet with the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court against Farhat Quader Chowdhury, Humman Quader Chowdhury, Salauddin’s manager Mahbubul Afsan, AKM Fakhrul Islam, Fakhrul’s associate Advocate Mehedi Hasan, two staff of the International Crimes Tribunal-1 — Nayan Ali and Faruq Hossain.
