The Special Judge Court-9 of Dhaka on Tuesday set August 21 to hear on charge framing against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and 10 others in the Niko graft case.
Judge Mohammad Aminul Islam of the court deferred the hearing considering a time petition filed by Advocate Sanaullah Mia, on behalf of Khaleda Zia. The BNP leader did not appear the court on Tuesday.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case with Tejgaon Police Station on December 9, 2007. The ACC on May 5, 2008, submitted charge sheet of the case to the court against 11 persons including Khaleda Zia.
