In her friend circle, Joyeta Prionty Gomez is familiar as a pretty woman. After starting acting, she also built up her reputation as a ‘pretty actress.’ She is now passing busy times with acting in side characters. Basically she is a character artiste. She has already established her position in side character roles by presenting her glamorous look and acting skill. Acted in hundred dramas, Prionty has also acted in several numbers of movies. Besides Dhallywood movies, she also acted in India-Bangladesh joint venture star-studded movies. She is coming to the silver screen on September 16. On that day, Prionty acted movie ‘Birotto’ will be released across the country. She played in a role of a doctor in the movie.
On the eve of releasing ‘Birotto,’ Prionty talked about her acting career with this correspondent. The actress said that she had experiences to act joint venture movies like ‘Chaalbaaz,’ ‘Tui Shudhu Aamar,’ ‘Nabab LLB’ and many more. Though she was seen to play as character artiste in these movies but Prionty attracted the viewers’ attention by virtue of her glamorous presence on the screen and acting skill. This time she is coming with talented director Saidul Islam Rana’s movie ‘Birotto.’ “Like my previous acted movies, ‘Birotto’ is an outstanding movie. I hope viewers of all classes will enjoy this film. I believe nobody will be disappointed to watch my performance on the screen of this movie,” Prionty said.
Besides silver screen, Prionty is much busy with acting in the small screen. ‘Ek Boishakhe’ was her acted debut drama in the small screen. The actress informed that she has already acted in hundred dramas. ‘VP (Village Project),’ ‘Ek Boishakhe,’ ‘Bhalobasar Golpo,’ ‘Shuvo Bibaho,’ ‘Lag Velki Lag,’ ‘Mitthye Prem,’ ‘Phulsojja,’ ‘Bichchhed,’ ‘Love Canvas,’ ‘Sabdhaner Mair Nai,’ ‘Nagin,’ ‘Tomar Jonnyo,’ ‘Bap Ka Beta,’ ‘Mejo Bou,’ ‘Biyer Kyachal,’ etc are her acted mentionable dramas. Therefore, according to the actress, Ahmed Didar’s telefilm ‘Phool Bou,’ Mohidul Mohim’s drama ‘Harano Sangbad’ and Rulin Rahman’s drama ‘Sundor’ are also mentionable works. “Among these dramas, I first came into discussion to act in drama ‘VP (Village Project).’ Eagle Music produced in this drama series, I played in role of Rahela till 50 episodes. I am really grateful to Eagle Music that for them viewers for the first time started to know me as an actress in the screen. Meanwhile, my another dream also came into true that is I shared the screen with popular actor Mosharraf Karim in Rulin Rahman’s drama ‘Sundor,” the actress also said.
“Basically, I didn’t want to come in front of the media, so despite working huge projects I did not get proper exposure in media,” she added.
Besides acting in television dramas, Prionty also performed as a model in several numbers of TV commercials, short films and fillers. She got huge response for performing in fillers and TVCs of ‘Super Star Fan,’ Bangladesh Police and ‘Period of females.’
While talking about her future plan, Prionty said, “Though personally I am a service holder but I like acting most. For this reason, besides my job, when I manage time I am continuing acting. In case of movies, there is necessity to give long time schedule for acting, so I am giving less time to big screen. So, all of my engagements are revolved with acting in dramas now. In the meantime, I am also acting in theatre plays under the banner of Nagorik Natyangan. Overall, besides getting time from job, I am giving my leisure times to media.”
