Like previous years popular satellite channel, Channel i will broadcast Ekushey book fair live from Bangla Academy, the fair premises everyday under the title of a daily TV programme Boimela Sorasori. IFIC Bank will sponsor the month-long event.
Noted rhymester Lutfar Rahman Riton will host the programme, which will be produced by Amirul Islam. The programme will go on air live from 5:30pm and every Thursday from 6:00pm from the fair premises.
It was announced at a press conference held at Channel i studio in the city’s Tejgaon area on Monday.
Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan, Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor, Managing Director of IFIC Bank Shah Alam Sarwar and main host of Boimela Sorasori Lutfar Rahman Riton spoke at the conference.
Interviews of writers, readers and publishers, information about new books and overview of the fair will be presented everyday in the programme, said Faridur Reza Sagor in the conference.
