Channel 24 and Jamuna TV moved to the final of the Pepsi-DRU Cricket Tournament on Friday.
In the day’s first semifinal, Channel 24 beat Alokito Bangladesh by 12 runs at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
Batting first Channel 24 made 78 runs for the loss of two wickets in the allotted six overs and then they restricted Alokito Bangladesh to 66 runs for the loss of two wickets in six overs.
Saiful Islam Jewel of Channel 24 was adjudged the Man of the Match.
In the day’s second semifinal, Jamuna TV edged past The Daily Ittefaq by 10 runs at the same venue.
Deciding to bat first, Jamuna TV scored 80 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated six overs and then they restricted Ittefaq to 70 runs for the loss of three wickets in six overs.
Nazmul Hossain of Jamuna TV was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Channel 24 will face Jamuna TV in the final on October 27 at the same venue.
President of ICC and Minister for Planning AHM Mustafa Kamal, MP will be the chief guest in the final.
