Chandpur’s 1st female journo dies

Rakhi Saha , a brave and first ever female journalist in Chandpur passed away after a massive heart attack in a private clinic in Dhaka recently.
She was 40.
She leaves behind her only son and a lot of friends and relatives to mourn her premature and sudden death.
Rakhi worked as a staff reporter for Chandpur’s local Dainik Chandpur Probaha and Dainik Aamar Chandpur some ten years ago.
One day the militants in handcuffs browbeat and threatened her while she was taking their photos on the court premises. Later on, she moved to Ekushey TV where she worked as staff reporter.
 She resided in the capital with her only son who works in a private firm in Dhaka .
 She was cremated on the following day . She hailed from Puranbazar in Chandpur district town. Her only son also works as a musical teacher in Chandpur.
Chandpur Press Club’s ex -Vice President Prof Delwar Ahmed , ex- President Prof Iqbal Hossain and ex- Secretary Laxman Chandra Sutradhar and AL Central leader Sujit Roy Nandi have condoled her sudden death and expressed sympathy with the members of the bereaved family..
Besides, Chandpur’s leading cultural academy Swapto Sur Sangeet Academy President and district’s eminent singer Rupali Champak has also condoled her sudden death.
