Sacheton Nagorik Committee, (SONAK), Chandpur Unit’s New Executive leaders were elected for one year with effect from 29 November 2020- to 28 November-2021.
In this connection, a monthly general meeting was held recently (11 Nov) at the Sonak’s office in the town with the outgoing President Principal Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.
In the meeting, New President and two Vice Presidents were elcted unanimously for one year. They are Professor Shahanara Begum, –President, Poet Dr Pijush Kanti Barua – Vice-President and Professor Sabita Biswas -Vice President.
TIB’s Programme Manger Cumilla Cluster Md Humayun Kabir, Chandpur’s Area Manager Masud Rana, leading members- former President Kazi Shahadat, Md Abdul Malek, Ismat Ara Safi, Rafiq Ahmmed Mintu, Polash Majumder, Dr Sabera Islam,Professor Shahanara Begum, Poet Dr Pijush Kanti Barua, Professor Sabita Biswas, Advocate Polash Majumder, Alamgir Hossain, among others were present on the occasion.
It may be noted here that SONAK (Sacheton Nagorik Committee) is a front of TIB.
SONAK Chandpur is working to create a corruption free, accountable and transparent administration in education, health, land administration and other essential sectors for establishing good governance to benefit the commoners in Chandpur.
