In last Eid, National Film Award winner two actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Zakia Bari Mamo-starred three dramas were telecasted in different TV channels. These dramas are: SA Haque Alik’s Sorry Bolo, Sokal Ahmed’s Byaktitto Babul and Ratan Hasan’s Nobboi Din. They got the viewers attention to play in role of husband-wife in drama Sorry Bolo. They also created hype among the viewers to act in rest two plays.
To watch them as a pair on the screen, many viewers are now expecting them to see on the big screen.
If the producers and directors show their keen interests then they can be seen in movie soon, they said.
According to Mamo and Chanchal, if they get good story and roles then they will work together in movie. In fact, they act only for the viewers if that can be either small or big screen.
Chanchal said, “In fact, before working in TV play I read out the script at first. I give priority to story and character. If I do not like these I do not agree to work. As usual, I worked in this Eid’s projects. I got positive response for my works. Basically viewers get learning from the plays.”
Mamo shared her feelings by this way, “Still now I give focus to story-based works because now viewers want to find their life stories in these. Therefore, due to YouTube, outside the country many viewers now watch many plays. To keep in mind their wants, we should make good plays now. If I get good story and role, then I can work with Chanchal Chowdhury in film. Now time will say what will be happened.”
In last Eid, Chanchal acted in Dipu Hazra’s Join Family, Aby Hayat Mahmud’s Rupa Bhabi, Sagor Jahan’s Khoniker Alo, Masud Sezan’s serial Choritro: Bharatia.
Basically variation in the stories of these works Chanchal got positive response from the viewers, he added.
On the other hand, Mamo is now in Bhutan where she is engaged with shooting for her first Hindi movie Max Ki Gun, which is being directed by Samir Khan.
