National Film Award winner popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury did not get the scope to act in drama serials for last few years. He was last seen to act in Salauddin Lavlu directed serial Harkipte. At last, Chanchal started to take part in shooting of a mega serial, which title yet not finalised, under Lavlu’s direction. Brindaban Das wrote story of the serial, which will be aired on Channel i. Chanchal is playing the role of Ronju in the serial. He is taking part in shooting of the serial from Sunday at Pubail in Gazipur.
While talking about acting in a serial after taking few years break, Chanchal Chowdhury said, “Basically due to low budget or having limitation in budget, now noted directors are not showing their interest to make drama serials now. For this reason, noted directors are making serials a little bit. Lavlu Bhai is making this serial having good budget and we are acting with own interest. We have full confidence on Brindabanda’s written story. We also love his written story and Lavlu Bhai’s direction. So, viewers are very much eager to watch something special in this serial. I also withdrew myself from acting in drama serials. I want besides OTT platform, dramas and serials of our TV channels will run simultaneously. Then our improvement would be possible.” Chanchal also said that he has completed shooting in Kuakata, Manikganj and Barishal for Shankha Dasgupta’s web series Boli. According to him, if everything remains okay he may join shooting of Kolkata’s Anjan Dutt’s movie’s shooting in December.
Due to Durga Puja, the actor passed some days in his hometown, Pabna. Now Chanchal acted movies Paap Punnyo, directed by Gias Uddin Selim, and Hawa, directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, are awaiting to get release dates.
