Champions Bashundhara end BPL Football with happy note

Champions Bashundhara Kings ended their TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football with a happy note defeating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by 2-1 goals in their last match at Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka on Saturday.
Bashundhara Kings grabbed 57 points from 22 matches, while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited finished fourth collecting 35 points from as many outings. Bashundhara Kings clinched the championship title for the third consecutive time. Bashundhara confirmed their championship title of this year with two matches in their hand.
Matin Mia put his team ahead by an accurate right-footer using a through pass of his Brazilian teammate Robson Robinho in the 8th minute of the first half.
After the breather, Robinho made it 2-0 by a forceful shot using a pass of his Gambian teammate Nuha Marong in the 52nd minute of the match.
Sohan of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited reduced the margin by an angular shot in the 68th minute of the play.
Earlier, Sohan got a free-kick of his Uzbek teammate Otabek but Sohan’s weaker shot was gripped by Bashundhara goalie Hamid in the 44th minute of the clash.
Bashundhara’s Sufil was roughly charged by Shaikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club’s Uzbek Otabek. Thus, Otabek was showed a red card few minutes before the long whistle. After that, Bashndhara’s defender Bishwanath Ghosh was also showed red card for his unplayable attitude. Thus, the two teams became ten-man team.
Bashndhara Kings created history in the BPL Football. After their arrival, they won the BPL title for successive three times in a row.
