For the first time five times National Film Award winning actress Champa has performed under the direction of noted actor and play director Shahiduzzaman Selim in a telefilm titled Ahonkar.
Champa performed in role of Selim’s daughter-in-law in the telefilm.
While talking about the telefilm Champa told this correspondent, “If I would not like the script of TV play or telefilm I never agree to perform. Script of the telefilm is really outstanding. Therefore, Selim bhai works very sincerely and organised way. For this reason, I like his direction. Telefilm Ahonkar has become a nice work. I think viewers will enjoy it.”
Shahiduzzaman Selim shared his feelings by this way, “It is no doubt that Champa madam is a talented actress. She has performed outstandingly well in my telefilm. Ahonkar will go on air on SA TV today at 3:00pm. Moutushi Biswas has also performed in the telefilm.”
It may be mentioned that besides acting in movie Champa is also performing in Idris Haidar directed daily soap titled Second Innings now. Ilias Kanchan is acting against her in the daily soap.
Champa acted first movie was Shibli Sadik directed Tin Konnya. As lead heroine her first acted movie was Alamgir produced and directed Nishpap. She got the National Film Award for five times to perform in movies Padma Nodir Majhi, Annyo Jibon, Uttor-er Khep, Shashti and Chandragrohon.
On the other hand, Shahiduzzaman Selim is going to receive National Film Award this year. n
