The deadlock is prevailing in the largest revenue collection house of the country-Chittagong Customs House following the harassment to the C&F agents by the customs officials in their routine works , a sufferer sources said.
The C&F agents officials did not submit the Bill of Entry to customs authority lack of fair atmosphere in the customs house. General secretary of Chittagong Customs C&F Agencts Association Altaf Hossain Bachchu told this correspondent that customs officials are randomly harass the C&F staffs in every doors , a s a result the working atmosphere in the CCH deteriorating day by day and there is no chain of command in CCH.
In a series of question, the C&F leader said till the working environment is restored, we will not submit B/E for assessment of import documents. He further said some Customs officials illegally harass the C&F men with lame excuse of physical inventory of the consignments.
