The certificate award ceremony of No 59 Flight Safety Officers’ Course of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at Flight
Safety Institute (FSI) of BAF Base Bashar on Thursday.
Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations and Training) Air Vice Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainee officers, said an ISPR release.
Squadron leader Md Shahadat Hossain was awarded with the ‘Chief of Air Staff’s Trophy’ for his best performance in the course.
Masihuzzaman advised the officers to share knowledge acquired form here and exploit it further to refine their talent through dedication and innovative ideas in promoting safety.
Earlier, in the welcome address, Officer Commanding of the institute Group Captain Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury gave a brief resume on the course curriculum.
A total of 12 trainee officers including nine from BAF and one each from
Bangladesh Navy, Indian Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force attended the course.
Among others, senior BAF officers were present on the occasion, it added.
