Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU), Bangladesh is the only and first maritime specialized university of Bangladesh inaugurated the Short Certificate Course on “Supply Chain Management” and “Freight Forwarding” in the auditorium of BSMRMU in the city’s Pallabi on Friday.
Dean of the Faculty of Shipping Administration, Commodore M Ziauddin Alamgir, fdc, psc, BN graced the seminar as the chief guest. Students, faculty members and other relevant resource personnel attended the inauguration ceremony.
The chief guest expressed his thoughts that, students after completing these short (Certificate) courses will develop and emerge themselves as maritime and shipping professionals, along with that they will serve the nation with their expertise in shipping sector and assist the nation in the process of becoming a developed country. Moreover, the chief guest expressed the determination of this specialized uiversity to uplift the nation’s economy to “Blue Economy” through maritime research, discover and invent new technology, tools and strategies, and develop expert manpowers serving in this sector.
