The certificate award ceremony of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) was held at BAF Falcon Hall in the city on Thursday.
BAF Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar distributed certificates and trophy among the graduating officers as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of No 114 Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC), said an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) press release.
On his arrival at the ceremony, the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) was received by Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Nazrul Islam and Officer Commanding of Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa.
Officer Commanding of CSTI gave a brief introduction on the training and academic curriculums of No 114 JCSC in his opening speech. A total of 24 officers from BAF took part in this 14-week long course that started on 10 May 2020.
The course is designed to train officers on effective command and staff duties within service, inter-service and joint service environments. Since inception of JCSC in 1976, CSTI is tasked to prepare future leaders of Bangladesh Armed Forces who can serve the nation with dignity and honour.
In the function, BAF Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar handed over the certificates to all graduating officers and awarded the “Chief of Air Staff’s Certificate and Trophy” to Squadron Leader ABM Golam Sadik for his overall best performance in the course.
In his concluding address, the chief guest emphasized on conceptual set up and applied education that all participating officers have attained during the course. The command and staff skills that have been achieved would also be of immense value in shouldering future assignments, he added.
Later, he attended a photography session with all graduating officers. Senior officers of BAF and other guests were present at the certificate award ceremony.
