The certificate award ceremony of No. 57 Flight Safety Officers’ Course of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at Flight Safety Institute (FSI) of BAF Base Bashar in the city on Thursday.
Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Md Abul Bashar attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainee officers, said an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
Major Md Shameem Ferdous of Bangladesh Army received the “Chief of Air Staff’s Trophy” for his best performance in the course.
The chief guest congratulated the trainee officers for successful completion of training and thanked Officer Commanding of Flight Safety Institute, Instructors and all concerned for their effort to complete the training course successfully.
A total of 19 trainee officers-8 from Bangladesh Air Force, 2 from Bangladesh Army, 6 from Royal Jordan Air Force and one each from Bangladesh Navy, Indian Air Force, Sri Lanka Air Force attended the ten weeks long course.
Among others, representative from Indian and Sri Lankan High Commission and senior BAF officers were present on the occasion.
