A fierce bowling display by Abu Jayed saw Central Zone suffered batting collapse as they scored 232 for 7 against East Zone at stumps on the first day of fourth round four-day Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) held on Sunday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
The East Zone bowlers proved their captain’s decision right to put Central Zone to bat threatening early inroad picking up wickets in regular intervals.
However, a timely half century Nurul Hasan (65) and Shuvagata Hom’s useful (46) salvaged Central Zone from total embarrassment.
