Central Zone score 179 runs against East Zone

Walton Central Zone scored a meager 179 runs against Islami Bank East Zone in the first innings on the first day of the four-day match Bangladesh Cricket League at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Thursday.
Sent in to bat first, East Zone piled up the score for all in 76.4 overs, riding on the sixth wicket stand of 73 runs in 31.1 overs, between skipper cum the day’s highest scorer Mosharraf Hossain and Mehrab Hossain Jr.
Mosharraf Hossain scored 45 runs off 121 balls with 8 fours while Mehrab Hossain Jr scored 43 runs off 107 balls with five fours.
Rakibul Hasan (19), Jabid Hossain (not out 16), Sharif Ullah (12) and opener Abdul Majid (10) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
Kamrul Islam Rabbi grabbed three wickets for 43 runs while Nabil Samad and Abu Jayed took two wickets each for 27 and 44 runs respectively.
Alok Kapali and Abul Hasan took one wicket each conceding 7 and 34 runs respectively.
