Chandpur’s Centenarian school teacher Bijoy Chandra Dey (widely known as Bijoy sir) passed away on Monday morning at 10 am at his home at Prottashi village under Balia union in ChandpurSadar. He was 100, said family sources and his ex -students.
He was ex- Headmaster of Farakkabad High School inChandpurSadar. BijoyDey worked as school teacher and headmaster for long 70 years in Chandpur Sadar.
He died after protracted illness due to old age ailments. His wife died long ago.
He left behind four sons and one daughter, countless students, friends and relatives to mourn his death. He had a good- will as an ideal school teacher.
In a condolence message, AL Central leader and President of Farakkabad Degree College Governing Body Sujit Roy Nandi condoled his death and expressed deep shock and sympathy with the members of the departed soul.
