Entertainment Report :
The Bangladesh Film Censor Board has deemed director Sajjad Khan’s debut film Sahos not worthy
of public screening. Members of the Censor Board watched the movie and made this decision a few days ago, said Secretary of the Film Censor
Board Mohammad Mominul Haque.
Mominul Haque said, “The board is in the process of sending an official letter to the film director and producer. They will get the letter in a day or two.” Regarding the reasons for the ban, Mominul said board members found objectionable obscene dialogue, scenes of abuse, and violence in the film. The number of these scenes and dialogues is so much in the film that censoring it will mean
scrapping most of the scenes and thus the
film will lose continuity.”
He also said that after receiving the letter, the director and producer will have 30 days to appeal.
If they do not appeal, the film will be banned
permanently. Director of the film Sajjad Khan said, “We will take a decision after receiving the
letter. However, I do not understand why the
film was banned and want to know where
exactly is the place of objection.”
Produced by Shapla Media house, actors Nazia Haque Orsha, Khairul Basar, Imran and
many others are in the film Sahos.
