A group of celebrities took part in the streets protest expressing solidarity with the students demonstrating at Shahbag on Thursday demanding road safety.
The celebrities spoke at students gathering in Shahbag and sing a song here. Among them singers Tanbir Alam Sajib, Sayan, Konal, Pervez, Nowrin, Lutfar Hasan, Sabbir, Sujan Arif, Pulak, RJ Tutul, artist (dance) Doli Iqbal, Farjana Brawnia.
They support the peaceful protest of the students to fulfill ‘nirapath sorak’ or road safety.
Besides, around 15-20 celebrities and 40-50 artists including actors and actresses brought out a procession in Uttara’s House Building area at
11:45am.They carried a banner demanding security to life.
Students began their demonstration for the fifth consecutive day blocking different city streets with a demand for safe roads.
Thousands of students poured onto the streets of Dhaka and blocked various streets including Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Uttara, Mirpur Road, Lalmatia and Gulshan-2 intersection and Jatrabari halting traffic.
