BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday alleged that the incumbent Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda is determined to do ‘election engineering’ in the next parliamentary polls through approving use of electronic voting machines (EVM).
“We think the unilateral decision of using EVM was taken as part of a master plan to rig votes in the next parliamentary polls,” he said this while speaking at a press briefing at the party central office in the city.
BNP chairperson’s advisers Abdus Salam and Ataur Rahman Dhali, BNP’s publication affairs secretary Habibur Rahman Habib, publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, volunteer affairs secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Shapu and executive committee member Shamsuzzaman Suruj were present, among others.
