The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a leading research institute in the United States, wants to test the capability of the coronavirus testing kit developed by the Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
The Founder and Trustee of the Gonoshasthaya Kendra Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury confirmed it to the media on Wednesday.
He said, the CDC office wants 800 corona testing kits. The Director of the CDC asked for this kit by a letter on Tuesday. They want to test the effectiveness of this kit. “We will provide them 800 sample kits in the next two days.” Zafrullah said, the Gonoshasthaya Kendra has also submitted the kit to the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC).
“They will transmit their opinion, soon after test of the effectiveness of the kit.”
Earlier, on April 25, Gonoshasthaya Kendra handed over Covid-19 test kits to BSMMU and CDC for final govt approval.
Whereas the CDC, wanted more kits from Gonoshasthaya Kendra on Tuesday.
