Chittagong District Lawyers Association opposes appointment of Md. Mashiur Rahman Chowdhury as Metro Session Judge of Chittagong.
CDBA wrote a letter to the Chief Justice and the Law Minister demanding abrogation of his promotion as session judge. A letter signed by CDBA President Sheikh Iftikar Saimul Chowdhuyr and the general secretary Md. Nazimuddin sent to chief justice and the Law Minister on Sunday.
Besides, this letter was also sent to Supreme Court registrar and the secretary of the Law Ministry through fax, sources said. Sources further said Lawyers staged agitation against the newly assigned Session Judge while he was posted as CMM in Chittagong earlier.
