Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) signed a contract with MAX-RANKEN Joint venture on Tuesday for construction, the new Elevated Expressway from Lalkhan Bazar to Sha-Amanat Airport in Chittagong city. Before signing the contract, CDA called for an International Open tender for this project and the price quoted by MAX – RANKEN Joint Venture was the lowest, said a press release.
The project was financed using from government own fund. This will be a 4-lane expressway which includes 16 KM main flyover and 12 KM ramp and the expected construction period is four years.
The signing ceremony at the CDA office in Chittagong was witnessed by the CDA Chairman, Abdus Salam, Project Director, Mohammed Mahafuzur Rahman, and Chairman of MAX Group, Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir.
