Watchdog of the port city -Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has evicted the unauthorised installations from Blossom Garden hill in the city yesterday morning.
CDA City Planner Engr.Shaheenul Islam told that one Syed Ziad Hossain took permission to construct only three semi-pucca shops in the hillside but the owner unauthorisedly constructed a number of fashion shops including mega show rooms. In the meantime CDA served notice to the owner of the shops against unauthorized construction in the hillside .
Subsequently the owner of the market filed a suit before the Chittagong court praying not to evict from the premises by CDA and court temporarily stayed the CDA . After final hearing of the court on Thursday last following the vacate of stay order, CDA evicted the installations yesterday , sources said.
A total of 18 shops were evicted from the premises, sources said.
